What's your go to product for remote starters and security systems for integration?
that's not something we offer. We normally would recommend a local car audio company does that kind of work.
Can you do a video and show how deutsch connectors work?
Reminds me of the old mars 888
Hey, can you please help me with this question. Does the Ecto siren has the wind down sound or does it just cut off? Do you know what I mean?
How do you go about getting one of those guns??
sold to law enforcement and government agencies only
These would be awesome if you could have a steady burn function for dark roads or scene lighting.
Those fenders are perfect for mounting lights!
These are incredibly bright on my tablet. I can't imagine them IRL.
I like the angled lights on the front bumper, but it needs some side lights too.🚨🚔🚨
Thanks. This is an admin vehicle so no "response" driving, no Red-light running, etc. The lights are only used as identification when at a scene, which is why it only has basic lighting.
The overhead console is a great mounting solution. FYI: there is a Mach E Rally model coming out in 2024 that has increased ground clearance, all weather tires, and the high power motors. It also features a different "grille" panel with LED foglights that would be beneficial for emergency vehicles. If your clients don't want to pay 60k+ for that model, I'd recommend trying to get that panel and lights.
Sounds like an ideal demo vehicle! 👌
Excusame, where is the divace to program 3 , 5 , 15 , or 60 minutes the timer? I'm a locksmith and I use a inverter 12v to 120v of 1200 watts and old the time I forgot to turn of the inverter and this kill my battery, and that is the reason I need a timer for 12V , 30 amp.. Thank you.
There are dip switches on the back to adjust time and cut-off voltage. See 2:50 in the video.
and there literay says "Ecto Siren" I LOVE IT!!!!
cool, I just use a $4 mechanical timer, can select the timer you want for each use from the drivers seat. Low Voltage Disconnects are useful too.
the main idea behind this timer is that it's completely automatic and doesn't require the user to do anything. Having your own vehicle is one thing but for vehicles that have multiple different people driving them, it helps to have the function completely automatic. Cheers!
Thank you for this video, just got some and wasnt sure of how to break in soft armour.
Looks like LED & no-mechanics attempt to make Mars-like light:-)
real solid
What antenna bracket are you using?
🤣🤣🤣 bad boys song on a siren? This is more than epic
how do you route an ear piece with the traverse
Is there a designated pocket in the vest for a backup gun?
How to use this gun ,sir can u explain me sir, plz
Crazy how quick so many departments have these now, including my self
Very nice. Were those Whelen mirror beams??
No, those are Feniex.
No question that this is the cleanest build i have ever seen in my life.
What sizes are there
All the carriers are custom sized to 1" increments. There are measurement/sizing forms on armorexpress.com website.
Ok thanks
@@sigmasafety what is the price of the vest
Awesome build. I know yinz do high quality installs. I have a question though. As a builder myself I have noticed that imported(which to us is any equipment not mfg in the US) dual color surface mount lights such as the FedSig Micropulse. When in utilizing both colors for warning doesn't have any "Off Time" to break up the colors. Which for us is an issue. Because that honestly just creates what I reffer to as a blob of light output. You know that purplish color when working with Red/Blue equipment. Don't take this the wrong way cause I'm not being negative about the build. My question I guess is have you guys considered using surface mounts such as maybe SoundOff mPowers oe Whelen per say that even when in dual/tri-color flashing mode(obviously in an alternating pattern) does give that split second of off time to break up the led output so it doesn't just look like a huge bright blob of light? Even as an SOS dealer/installer we stay away from the imported SOS lights(Bolt2) in dual color because when programmed using both colors they just tend to look as a big blob of light to which can hardly tell a color change specially from a distance. Just wondering your thoughts as with so many years in our industry, I guess I have found that the down time between lights/colors tends to be significantly more effective than just a huge bright blob of light. Honestly I'm not sure why it seems to only be the overseas imported units that don't offer that seperation. Any thoughts?
First of all, the Micropulses are made in the US. These are the latest generation lights and are made by FedSig in their plant in Chicago. While the previous generation (discontinued early in 2021) were made in China, the current version (the lights in this video are all MPS62U-RW lights) are made in Chicago. Second, the lights are all steady-burn so the lights themselves don't control the flash patterns. It has nothing to do with the lights and where they are made. ANY steady-burn light would react the same way, regardless of brand or country of origin. The Pathfinder controller decides the flash patterns. In this case the customer did the entire installation so they chose the patterns. I agree that some 'off' time between colour changes would help break the colours up a bit. When doing our own installations, we generally set all the lights to flash the same colour at the same time; for example, all 4 grill lights flash red at the same time, then all flash white. We've done lots of testing at long distances and find this by far the most effective setup for long distance ( > 500m) warning. At those distances even flashing 2 red and 2 whites at the same time results in a blob of light, as you put it. This also avoids the 'purple' phenomenon for our police (red/blue) customers.
RCMP?
Sharp-looking unit.
I have a "remain in your vehicle" tone stuck on output 1. My lights also fire up when it is pressed. Does anybody know how I can get that off of output one
Demo or for a customer?
This is a customer's vehicle. Our demo vehicles have significantly more lighting on them.
Fed Sig is a joke! Most of their equipment is made in Taiwan. Sorry but my opinion is find another manufacturer to partner with as a "Signature Partner". Many better options out their to build your reputation. What about D&R? They are a Canada based manufacturer? Sorry if my comment is offensive to anyone. I'm just tired of all the imported crap & if you ask me Federal Signal is at the top of the list in our industry with ECCO/Code3 as far as selling 90% imported goods rather than actually manufacturing their own products.
Some competitors try to make themselves appear better by spreading false information about FS, telling people all their products are made offshore. I can assure you this is not the case. I've been to their factory many times and have seen them making their own circuit boards (board-level assembly), assembling bars, etc. While a few of their smaller lights are made offshore (such as their hideaway LEDs), everything on this truck (including Micropulses) is made in-house in Chicago. Some of the largest fleets in Canada and US use FedSig (LAPD, NYPD, Vancouver PD, Toronto PD just switched to FS bars, etc.) with excellent results. We've been dealing with FedSig for over 20 years and have always found them to be an excellent company to deal with, both in terms of products as well as support.

Do I need to wire the B part to a relay? Or can I just wire it to my ignition switch accessories?
There is no way to accurately answer that. It depends how much current you're drawing and what you're powering it with. If you're trying to draw 20 amps off the "B" side of the fuse block but your source is only capable of providing 2 amps, then yes, you'll need a relay. If your total draw off the "B" side is less that the source wired to the "B" input stud on the fuse block, then no, you won't need a relay.
Nice build. Simple clean affective.
What did you use to hold the mPower grille lights in place? Doing a similar build soon.
I believe we used an ABS plate behind each light and kind of 'sandwiched' the grille between the ABS plate and the light itself.
What kind of data can you download from it? Will it show what time it was tested by the officer?
It is possible to mount two of them in a cascade chain to charge a third battery for separate service?
absolutely. it works fine.
Wow
Is it just me or does american sirens sound absolutely shocking
how or where do u get the power for the switched/ignition wire from?
Not sure how to answer this. You would feed power from whatever vehicle you're installing the fuse block in.
but from where
Fantastic overview, answers all of the questions about this specific timer. Thanks for posting.
Does this work on polyethylene?
If you are talking about specta shield or something like that in your soft armour, there isn't really a need to break that in, but it may help loosen up the panels a bit. It certainly won't hurt it. The break-in procedure mostly helps with woven materials (Kevlar, etc.). Hope that helps.
Do you guys have some sort of link to cadaver data for your "VSI" vs. "Deadly" deformation thresholds? If no, can you explain how you're calculating these thresholds?
Thanks for the note. We are not the manufacturer for these helmets, rather we are a dealer. For a highly technical question like this you'd need to contact Busch Helmets in Germany directly. www.busch-protective.com/en/contact.php
Purchased the Si-ACR 7610. There is no space for a wire when connecting the positive battery cables. Do we cut out the plastic on the ACR cover to allow space for the positive batter cables? If so, will the sections of the cover break out evenly or is there some other way to open space for the cables?
Where did you buy it? The tabs are designed to snap off cleanly. Use a pair of pliers and simply snap off the tabs on the bottom or side, depending where your cables enter.
Hate these mfs
